What is a Project Website?

A project website tracks a project from beginning to end. Through photos and descriptions, the project is shown from the ugly beginning to the outstanding completion.

With a project website, you can communicate the progress of a project to your client; you can show other prospective clients the care with which you will pursue their projects; your clients can even sell for you, as they show off their project to their friends. How does Claire create a project website?

First, the basic website design must be developed. Claire will visit your shop get a feeling for the work you do and the clients you wish to attract, and talk to you about your current advertising, graphics, logo, and any other visual images you have or wish to develop.

This will all be used to create some mock-up pages, and a design will be finalized with your input.

Digital photos of the project, from start to finish, are the first step in creating the actual project website. If you have old photos, digital or on film, Claire will use these to start building a project. Then she will visit your site from time to time as progress is made, to take new photos. Or, if you have the equipment to take your own photos, you may send them to her.

Description of the projects, historical information on the "subject", any other text you wish to see included, will be combined with these photos to produce the project web pages.
